Formed at the beginning of 2000 by Maio (guitar and voice), Villa (bass and chorus), Beppe (keyboard) and Romolo (drums), the Judas' Kiss band began as a psychedelic-punk band and, after a few months, produced a demo and started touring. The line-up of the group changed several times in the following year and this allowed a search for more personal sounds and an experimentation with unconventional stylistic approaches. With the entrance of Komo (trumpet) in the group in 2002, the band decided to throw their energy into ska, thus developing a more defined sound dimension which could be appreciated by a non-punk audience, too. This rebirth led them to soften the harshness in their music and to play often at parties, folk festivals and with memorable bands of the Italian "alternative" scene such as Statuto and Arpioni. That way the pieces of the first hard-earned album "Skannati" took shape - Daniele Giordana recorded them at the One Voice Studios in Chivasso. The 2003 is full of novelties: first of all the new members of the band, Danny-boy (sax) and Cuie (guitar), then the influence of different genres connected with ska-punk - hard rock, noise and r'n'r - which creates new, more complex and difficult pieces, still unrecorded. Tangible evidence of the band's achievements are their qualifying for the quarter-final at the "Pilastro City" Prize held by the city of Bologna at the Officina Estragon, their presence in the compilation "Soniche Avventure Punk Vol. 4" by Fridge Records with the song "Doppiopetto Blu" and their mp3 in the "Vitaminic" website for four weeks in second position among the most downloaded ska songs. Live concerts have become more and more frequent and the Juda's Kiss have been on tour throughout the north of Italy together with Los Fastidios, Rabbia, Atarassia Grop, Rimozione Koatta, Jolly Power, Out of Project, 120 Planets, Succo Marcio, Giorno di Paga, MSR, Sokkuadro and many more.
